  • Statistics Help...?

I need help with these kinds of problems...generally if I get an equation and understand how to do it, I'm set, so I'm only asking for a simplified process of how to do this.

The regression equation relating tar content (y) of cigarettes with CO content x is:

    ŷ = -0.6569 + 1.01(x).

Suppose a certain brand of cigarettes has a CO content of 14 mg and tar content of 13.7 mg. The residual for this brand is ______. Give your answer to one decimal place.

  • CP MALWARE "o.TRAFFIXENG"?

I need help in how to get rid of a rather bothersome virus that is on my computer name something like "o.traffixeng.com". The virus puts in random history in my computer, continually tries to open pages in my trusted sites, and cannot be detected by my CP protector, Microsoft Security Essentials. A little help in deleting this SOB?

  • CALLING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN CLIMATE?

    Ok, here's the scoop:

I need to explain just how one thing from one variable on this list affects another. Then, I need to pick a different variable and explain how it affects 2 other ones. After that, I need a another variable that causes a positive feedback loop in another variable. After that, I need the same situation, but then for a negative feedback loop. I have been researching like a madman but i need a bit of a push. Simple answers are preferable, but I don't mind long ones.

    Here's the list:

    -Albedo

    -Radiation

    -Ocean Current

    -Air Currents

    -Latitude

    -Atmospheric Composition (CO2, H2O, CH4, etc.)

    -Ocean Temperatures

    -Air Temperatures

-Climate Zones (Maritime, Polar, Tropical, etc.)

    -Precipitation

    -Vegetation

    -Biodiversity

    -Ice Sheet Cover

    -Ocean Salinity

-Any other purely scientific (not political) factors.

    Thank you for your help!
