When I check My external Hard disk's health using CrystalDiskInfo its showing caution.?

when I put cursor over the caution its showing "caution (C5) current pending sector count 102". Is there any way to fix that?

Update:

when i click on the caution button. its opens health status settings.

Update 2:

to reallocate the sector counts or something.. if there is someone familiar with this software can help me change those settings?

No, the drive is showing signs of failing and will needs to be replaced. Once the heads crash down onto the platters it creates microscopic debris which will cause further bad sectors and this process will keep repeating and getting worse. You can run CHKDSK on the drive and fix any bad sectors it finds but don't use the drive for anything important. It's normally caused by switching your PC off from the power switch or from power cuts because the heads don't have time to retract from the platters. Always switch your computer off using the correct shut-down procedure from within your operating system, if possible.

    Hi there Darkoo,

My advice would be to just back up the data stored on the drive.

After that, you can use some third party tool and write zeros on the drive.(fill in zero value in each sector) Then, you can retest the drive. This sometimes helps with pending sectors related issues.

In case you get similar results, you should either replace the drive(in case it is under warranty) or use it for storing non important data.

    Cheers,

No this is a sign that the hard drive is failing and needs replacing.

All hard drives have some spare sectors, when one goes bad, another spare sector is brought into use. If enough sectors go bad then the drive runs out of spare sectors and you start to get data loss. Over 100 bad sector count I would consider significant and not rely on it for critical data
