Why are people so delusional?

Here's the thing, people want to believe in something. Simple as that. Maybe because they want there to be an afterlife, they hope to see a Heaven, they want something to be there. They can be scared, they could have been raised to believe in it, they could have had a sign that made them believe, they don't want to think of dying and then that's it, they don't want to go to Hell, etc. Some people claim to have felt God, some claim that they have seen him, or an angel or whatever. Kinda like with Ghosts. Some people don't believe, others do, others claim to have seen them or experienced something paranormal, other people just find it to be bullsh*t. I'm not a religious person, but I will never say there isn't a God. I don't know if there is or isn't. God has never been proven, but also never disproven.

I don't know the answer to if God does or doesn't exist. But it's strange how the world came so perfectly intact I'm not saying it's god or it is not but think about it. It depends on what you have experienced yourself and what you believe... There are so many theories The bible and story of God. Aliens made earth and the leader is who we prey and believe as God. it's even gone to the extent of that we are a computer simulation. You can check all the theories online some of them are interesting to see what people think. The earth and nature is all explained by math why is that so? So many questions and answers that just give more questions. I believe if there is a God or creator he shall not judge you in your non belief as you have lived a honest life and have followed rules and laws.

A delusional calling others delusional. How can anyone look at the order of nature and think there is no Supreme Being above nature that set it all in motion. and keeps it.

Religious people use the exact same arguments as those with psychosis. why is this?

-Walk through any insane asylum on this planet, and they have the same faith and the same visions as fundies.

I get why schizophrenics can't, but normal people?

- Schizophrenics have a neural chemical in their systems that causes that. Fundies have something similar. They have an excess of dopamine, created by their having the VMAT2 gene that gives them excessive dopamine, normal people don't have that gene, and the dopamine gives them excessive hallucinations.

I just don't understand how people with normal functioning brains will argue and defend something so ridiculous.

- That is the point, they do not have "normal functioning brains".

Faith in God doesn't come from the brain. Faith comes from the heart and soul. Faith is believing in something you cannot see but that is still true.

My question is where is the logic in believing the earth just created itself? The human body just created itself in a perfect enough form to survive on average 70-80 years? The clouds just happen to form regularly and rain down so we can have water to live and food to eat? Where is the logic in happenstance?

Because both live in a pretend world, have rejected reality, and both belong in a rubber room.

Superstition is delusion driven by a deep primal fear of death and reality.

Reality is scary, so the religious have found a way to pretend they do not have to participate in reality.

Sad really if you think about it, so many so afraid.....

They choose to be.
