breaking a year lease for apartment?
to make a long story short me, my gf and my firend got an apartment 2 months ago for a lease that was for a year. my friend has been throwing parties almost every night with occasionally underaged kids which the cops have been called before but they didnt id anyone just told them to keep it down. last month my friend found a gf and he immediately moved her in without the landlords permission. the other day my gf ring was gone (stolen) and we accused my friends gf of stealing it which caused a huge fight he threatened to beat me and my gf up (im not scared of him just dont wanna get to that point). now i dont wanna live here. if i talked to the landlord what is the best case scenario to get out of the lease or what are our options in this case.

Your in deep and are learning the hard way about roommates. They can make you want to kill. You can ask the landlord to help you out but they aren't required to do much of anything. If you just move out, your roommate is stuck with paying all the rent. The landlord doesnt' care who the rent comes from as long as it comes. And then the landlord may sue one or all of you for what is owed. I woudl talk to the landlord and play let's make a deal.

probably nothing....you can bring it to the landlord about the extra person living there...if the rent is paid he might only care if he has occupancy issues with the city...he can send a letter that you are in violation of the lease and inform you to fix it or evict everybody.....
