my mom wont let me get highlight! help?!?

im 13 and ive had dark dark brown hair since forever ive never had anything done to my hair ever and want a different look so i looked up some hair ideas and i now very much want a little bit of highlights. Caramel high lights, I have tan skin do y'all think itd look good? but anyways my parents are SUPER strict and they wont let me get highlights my mom said i shouldnt be focusing on my hair. my grades are good i do my chores i dont understand why she wont let me? how do i convince her??? and i cant have a sweet little talk with her saying im growing up or im not a little kid anymore we dont have that mother daughter relationship. just tell me how i could convince her

    You'll have to wait until you are considered old enough to make your own decisions about your hair. At the moment you can't, and you certainly can't get highlights and get away with it. 13 is too young.

    I agree with your mother. Thirteen is too young to be dyeing your hair. Also, a little fashion tip, dye is very hard on your hair and causes damage. You really don't want to be doing that anyway. I read somewhere that the worst thing you can do to your hair is put chemicals of any kind on it. Use minimal amounts of shampoo and conditioner, and be sure to rinse, rinse, rinse. I always rinse mine twice. Do it once, shave my legs, and then rinse my hair over again to be sure I get it all out.
