Since McCarthy has pulled out of race for Speaker of the House. Do you think Republicans should put a Citizen in as the Speaker?

Update:

Not a Representative of the House.

    @Anon - you are incorrect.

    The house can elect anyone, even you, to be House Speaker.

    There is nothing that says "The House Speaker must be a US Congressman."

    "The Constitution does not require that the Speaker be an elected House Representative, though all Speakers have been an elected Member of Congress.[2]"

    ( "Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives". Clerk.house.gov. Retrieved August 10, 2012.)
