Why are republicans that oppose Obama called racist but if liberals oppose Carson they are not racist?

I have been called a racist for over 8 years because I think Obama is a horrible president. Now that Carson is coming along and I think he would be a great president and liberals don't. Can't I call them racist.

Opposing Obama does not make one a racist. The notion, however, that Republicans are not racists was shown to be ridiculous when every time a Republican makes racist remarks (including Carson) they enjoy an immediate leap in popularity. This has become so predictable that it is amazing that anybody would deny Republican racism and so blatant even Republicans like Colin Powell have commented on it. Complaining that Republicans are called racists "because" they criticize Obama is shallow and stupid. Pointing out that supporting Carson is evidence that one is not a racist is equally dumb.

It is possible to criticize President Obama without being a racist; a fact I'm sure any reasonable Democrat would recognize. It's very possible that you've been called a racist unfairly. It would depend on *what*, exactly, you're actually criticizing.

Much of the sentiment from a significant number of Republicans concerning Obama have unquestionably, demonstrably racist. The most blatant example is the "birther" movement. These are the people who insist that Obama isn't constitutionally qualified to be President because he wasn't born in the United States. I say this is unquestionably racist because most of those birthers seem to have no problem whatsoever with one of their current favorite Republican candidates for President--Ted Cruz--having been born in Alberta, Canada.

Because liberals criticism of Carson is for all the stupid sh!t that he says.

Republicans criticism of Obama is for racist lunacy including that he is a citizen of Kenya and not America.

How long did we have to hear about Obama not showing his birth certificate?

The only people who say it is racist to oppose Obama are conservatives. However, I have heard some conservatives make overtly racist statements then attempt to mask their comments as policy disagreements.

If you oppose Obama's policy that's fine. In fact it's healthy Democracy, but if you hide your criticism behind thinly veiled racism then you deserve to be called out.

Because the reasons given by most Republicans are based on racism. It's not that conservatives oppose Obama -- it's WHY they do so.

Progressives embrace the concept of collective guilt. They are hoping for an atrocity to be committed by someone that turns out to be proved as a tea party republican terrorist. That way threy can accuse all republicans of atrocities. So far is is only individual mentally deranged individuals who have committed those murders. That is unrelated to the fact that they have long records of progressive leftist ideals.

Lie much? I used to be a Republican and was avid when i was younger, not one time have i been called a racist. I have seen it on youtube but not real life. Why because those are few incidents that which has happened. If you are such a victim in which videos on the internet affect you so then perhaps you should just close the blinds on the windows and lock the doors. Theirs alot worse things out there.
