Strawberry plant growing in a pot is sickly...?

At first glance what do you think the issue is?

These are growing in a pot and there are several like them.

Growing in pots is obviously much more challenging than growing in the ground.

Is it over watering, under watering, over fertilization, disease, salt build up maybe?

Most likely overwatering. That's what happens when pots retain water and the plant gets water-logged. Strawberries do well when the dirt completely dries out between waterings.

The cause of the great majority of potted plant failure is over watering so that's probably why it isn't doing well.
