Seniors, Have you tried the 'benefits' of
Facebook without actually joining it?

Question

Everyday I walk down the street and tell
passers-by what I have eaten, how I feel
at the moment, what I did the night before
and what I will do later, and with whom.

I offer them pictures of my family, my
pets, my front garden and me standing
in front of favourite landmarks, having
lunch, and doing what anyone and 
everyone does all day.
I also listen to their conversations, give
them a "thumbs up" and tell them I like
them, and it works just like Facebook!

I already have four people following me:
two policemen, a private detective and
a Psychiatrist.  LOL!

No, I actually joined Facebook, but I just asked a question on here to find out how to hide my profile without deleting it. Too much drama for me, but I do like to keep in touch with out of state friends and family.

For me people tagged me in...I guess that is the right word and people I really don't know where giving me their personal information moment by moment day by day.  I don't have the time to go through all of that and why do you think what you ate for breakfast is important to anyone else.  IF you have something going on that is important to me fine but that day to day stuff is really boring.

Very funny.  And there are a good number of people who do just what you describe.  I'm not one of them.  I'm very busy on fb keeping in touch with family and friends, but I have one cousin and one second cousin who use fb the way you describe.  Most of the time I just scroll through all the stuff they post.

FB is a great way to keep in touch with far-away relatives and getting to personally know people and their lives around the globe.  A few do post every tiny thing but I see too much political postings to suit me, altho I do post a few for gun control and Constitutional rights, myself.
