Maths - Algebra basic - expanding (multiply out) the brackets?

Expanding (A3) - Expand (multiply out) the brackets :

1.) 5 ( p - 4 )

2.) 5 ( 2 f + 2 )

3.) 4 ( 6e - 5 )

4.) 3 ( t - j )

5.) Y ( y + 5 )

6.) f ( 7 - f )

Then calculate

1.) 5 - - 3

2.) - 7 + - 2

e.) 6 x - 8

    For each of these, just multiply each term inside the bracket with the term outside.

    1) 5p-20

    2) 10f+10

    3) 24e-20

    4) 3t-3j

    5) y^2+5y

    6) 7f-f^2

    For the calculations, two negatives make a positive, so:

    1) =5+3=8

    2) =-7-2=-9

    3) =6*-8=-48
