If Jesus is God why does Gods original name is YHWH?

He says in the bible in Exodus 34:14 he is YHWH or yahweh or jehovah is a jealous God and he should only be worshiped and is in the bible around 6,000 times. YHWH is Gods original name and even his son talked about God's name. I am confused because i believe in the trinity but then i realized why does the bible say Gods name is YHWH and it is not pronounced as Jesus Christ these are two separate beings

This is a stumbling block and argument for many followers of Watchtower and similar cults. We don't know how God's name is pronounced. We can only speculate. Abraham, for example, did not know God's name but was nonetheless chosen by God and saved through his faith in God and His promises, revealed and fulfilled in Christ Jesus. What we see in the Bible is an unfolding and revelation of God's divine plan and purpose for all things. We still don't know everything, but we know that the glory of God is much more than we can ever imagine in the flesh.

Here's an article you might find helpful at least as a starting for further reading:

Is Jehovah the true name of God?

Firstly God has many names in the bible. YHWH was considered by the Jews to be the most sacred of these names and for that reason was never written or spoke fully. For that reason we don't know the FULL sacred name of God no matter what anyone says

Secondly Trinity is both simple and complex. At it's simplest level the concept of God is one God three people. It's not dissimilar to other singular entities such as one couple, one family, one crowd, one audience, etc. The difference is that the three in the Trinity are so tightly knit, so in tune, so intimate with one another that in effect think, act and work as one. The workings within the Trinity are shown only in glimpses of the bible and are perhaps so complex and beyond our comprehension as to make a "mystery". Irrespective at the simplest level there are three persons and one God. Many struggle with even this simplest concept and you will repeatably see JW questions along the theme 'When Jesus prayed to God was He praying to Himself". Such questions are nonsense if you understand three distinct persons and one God. It's like asking "When a husband talks to his wife is he really talking to himself?" (jokes aside it's nonsense).

Thirdly the NT clearly shows that Jesus was worshipped. The word "proskuneo" is in the NT 55 times, 40 of which even the JW perverted bible the NWT translates as 'worship' .. this not only includes God but also demons. Yet in 15 places where Jesus receives 'proskuneo' it is not translated as worship in the NWT and there is absolutely no reason to make this change except for imposing the belief that Jesus should not be worshiped! Furthemore the JWs themselves even worshiped Jesus until 1954 and followed the KJV in doing so.

Fourthly there are literally hundreds of verses that either directly or indirectly show Jesus is God. I've met and discussed with dozens of JWs who all passionately believe they have studied the Trinity in depth when I think the reality is that they've studied Watchtower arguments about the Trinity and nothing much more. Irrespective in studying the Trinity I documented the verses, my thoughts and the arguments from those verses both in terms of the cultural setting, the linguistics and connection to other verses and ended up with a document that's over a hundred pages long (and still growing and being amended). Try asking JWs for their notes on the subject and everyone of them will flap and fail but not produce such notes. I constantly challenge them on this and not one has ever stepped up to the plate and produced extensive thinking on all these verses.

Fifthly ... for me one of the most difficult things JWs try to reconcile but most often don't even try is their acceptance that Jesus is a god (from John 1:1) but not THE ONE TRUE GOD. I ask them if they can find any evidence in the bible of any good god in the bible that isn't the ONE TRUE GOD and they cannot. I ask them if all the other gods in the bible are portrayed as being against THE ONE TRUE GOD and since God is a jealous God, God's enemy and they cannot do anything but reluctantly agree. I ask them then to explain how Jesus can be a god (of any kind) and be good. There is only ONE TRUE GOD and if Jesus isn't it then He's not a TRUE GOD but a false god.... and they cannot accept that or reconcile it!

Jesus was not God... Even Jesus has said that he was the son of God, and that God was his father... As far as the scripture from Exodus, one has to remember the age from which it was written. During the Bronze age of mankind. This was a period of time when people in a lot of areas of the world were Polytheist [meaning there were a multitude of God's people worshiped.] and the God of the hebrews was a very jealous God indeed.

Jesus never claimed to be God. He repeatedly told the Jews that GOD is his Father and his Father is greater than he is. After his resurrection he even said to Mary Magdalene go and tell my brethren I ascend to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. If Jesus was God why would he say I ascend to my God and your God. The Church at Rome thoroughly corrupted the Bible in 382 AD to promote the belief in the Doctrine of the Trinity which they made up the year before.

The prophet Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 46:9 Remember the things of old: for I am God and there is none else; I am God and there is none like me.

YHWH a very holy name, they could not pronounce because it is very holy. God introduced His name in exodus, burning bush as I AM WHO AM (YHWH). Jesus in the NT would say I AM (equivalent to I AM WHO AM) thats why pharisees got mad at him because he claimed that HE IS (God). Later the church put God's name as YaHWeH. Some YeHoWaH (Jehovah). Jesus, YesHuWaH.

God is One with 3 divine nature: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is the Great I AM, YHWH

Jesus is God the Son, God incarnate who came down in human flesh to save mankind. Thus Christians believe Jesus is True God n True Man, yet One. The bible is very explicit, Jesus is God.

Mark 1:24 Saying, what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth>? art thou come to destroy us? I know who thou art, the HOLY ONE of GOD

Jhn 6:70 ... we have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God

1 Jhn 5:20 .... that the Son of God has come to us, and has given us a sense of truth; we were to recognize the True God, and to live in His True Son. He is True God and eternal life

Titus 2:13 while we wait for the blessed hope - appearing of the glory of our great God and saviour, Jesus Christ...

Jhn 8:58 And Jesus said to them, Believe me, before ever Abraham came to be, I am
