Question for the Ladies...?
So my wife of 12 years has been cheating on me and needless to say we are divorcing. She gave me back the wedding ring which I spent a lot of time arranging and hunting down. It has over 2.8 ct of clear diamonds and it's valued at 18,500. This is not a Zales ring, it an A jaffe. So my question is: Would it be okay if I gave this ring to my next wife? or is that just wrong. Thanks..

OMG so you one of those guys that spends a ridiculous amount of money on a ring just to get screwed sucks to be you and you never saw that she was just a gold digging whore. First of all why would you want to walk down the aisle again so soon if you got money play the field the smart thing never let on how much money you have cause you want someone who wants you for you not your bank accounts. Trade in that ring for something cheaper and get yourself something nice. Really nobody needs a ring worth that kind of cash and if you got that kind of money to throw around get a prenupt. So you do realize that so called ring cost you 18.5K cost them maybe a 1/4 of that huge mark-up on diamonds.
If the new wife ever found out you recycled her ring FROM THE EX. you would be in the doghouse big time.

Why would you curse your new marriage like that?? And God help you if the new wife ever found out that it originally belonged to the ex. You'd definitely be headed for divorce #2. Sell the old ring, buy a new one. That way this new marriage can have a fresh, clean slate with no "baggage".

I think it's safe to say that a new wife would prefer to pick out her own engagement and wedding rings or, at a minimum, know the origin/history of the rings you present to her. That said, if you are comfortable with explaining why you propose to give her the remnants of rings worn by your previous wife, proceed by all means.

You should just accept the fact that you'll never get your money back for that ring. It's used jewelry now. At most, you can hope to sell it for about a quarter of its value. Your new love will not appreciate being offered the ex's hand-me-down, regardless of how much you paid for it. Just sell the thing for whatever you can get, and then get on with life.

I think that your next wife might not be too happy about that. I think you should sale it and use the money you got from it to buy your new wife a ring that she'd like. I personally wouldn't mind (as long as it fit), but a lot of girls don't like that.

if u tell your next wife it was your previous wife's ring and if she doesn't mind and likes it then yes. I, personally, wouldn't want someone else's ring. neither I would want a ring from a pawn shop. and I wouldn't care whether it is more expensive that is in a pawn shop or not - new stuff for me only. but I heard there re such women as "low maintenance". but I doubt they are pretty. because pretty women don't need to pretend to be "low maintenance". they have plenty of men willing to maintain them higly

You definitely should not give the ring to a future wife because when she finds out that it used to belong to your ex she will not be haopy with you, my advice would be to sell that ring and amd save up a little bit extra the use the money to buy her abother one

Totally wrong. Don't even think about giving it to your new love. No woman wants a ring that was made for someone else.

Totally wrong, but you could use the gold and the diamonds. Have the gold melted down and cast into a new ring using the diamonds.
