Who kills the 2 witnesses at the 3 1/2 year point in the tribulation?

The one that is specifically mentioned as dying died when a large stone that was catapulted into the city by the Romans struck him on the head. I would dare say that both of the witnesses died as result of the Siege on the city, their bodies were left in the streets and they arose three days later when the city was sacked and the temple destroyed. There was a lot going on, while Tacitus and Josephus got a lot of details there were certainly some that were left out. There were enough details however to glean there were at least two witnesses in the city who prophesied against the Jews, and that at least one was killed by the stone from the catapult

You've read the book, but you don't seem to have any clue about the context in which it was written or the literary/religious tradition from which it sprang.

It's a commentary on first-century politics, not a prediction of what's going to happen thousands of years in the future.

If you have read Revelation as many times as you have said, then you are aware that the two witnesses are two Olive Branches and two Lampstands. In the beginning of Revelation, we are told that Lampstands are Churches, so the Two Lampstands are Two Churches.

The two witnesses are not two individuals. They represent two groups of men - Gods faithful Jews and his faithful Gentiles.

Scripture calls them also "two olive trees" - figuratively speaking .

Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

The ONLY place in scripture where "the two olive trees of God" are identified is Romans 11 where Paul discusses the "wild olive tree" of the Jews and the "grafted in olive tree" of the Gentiles.

Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
