I am trying to lose belly fat to get abs, what all to eat?

I don't fully understand all of the calories and carbs and just everything, like I know calories give you energy so I need to try not to consume as much as I'm using. But carbs and protein and fats? Should I eat stuff with not many fats or carbs? And I eat a lot of bread, peanut butter and jelly, what all bread should I look for and what all should I look out for in like foods? Low calories? High in protein? Low in fats? Like I need help with all of these. And fibers? What about fibers? And I am also working out so what all do I need to eat and or drink? I have been drinking nothing but water I cut soda and juice out of what I consume. Just basics will help.
