Veterans--what war were you in? "Thank you for your service."?

Vietnam from January 69 to August 70.

Vietnam. Aug 65' till Xmas day 67'

38 years Canadian Forces, and I've never heard a shot fired in anger. I've been in during some wars, e.g., Bosnia, and Afghanistan, and of course, I was working in an Intelligence field during the cold war. But, I was never "out there." That's just the way it worked out for me.

I was Bombed in WW2 for 5 years was part of Occupational forces in Germany in Malaysia during the emergency Borneo during the Confrontation and Vietnam

I served for 38 years

First Gulf War-- Desert Storm- Kuwait Libération.

Desert Storm, Persian Gulf.

Vietnam 69-70. Served on the hospital ship USS Sanctuary AH-17. Every three months we made port call at Subic Bay where I met my Filipina wife............

Viet Nam for me but you should understand millions of veterans never saw combat
