Take part-time Courses at the local College or University (Something that you are interested in)

Don't be "friends" with guys, there is no such thing. Men usually only want one thing, unless they are gay or a-sexual.

You need to find friends in a safe environment that matches your interests. it is best to either join a club or meet someone at work ( If you have one )

Making great friends through the internet is very possible but might take time as the internet is flooded with lots of douches; again, look in sites that match your interests and contain people with similar type of thinking.

First off, If you want to make friends that will last for a long time, then my best bet is to find places like a coffee shop, or maybe somewhere quiet and relaxing you want to go to ( like a small bookclub, or any type of club, a park,etc) and just look for someone whose sitting alone by themselves, and talk to them ( that is if they are willing to talk, if not or if they are busy, apologize, then try again with someone else).
