Interior of the car smells like weed.?

No one has ever smoked weed in my car before and I haven't either but I'm really curious on why the interior smells like weed usually. Also I have owned this car for years, it's a 2001 Honda Prelude.

Update:

Why does the interior of my car smell like weed?

    1. Does anyone else in your family take the car out? If so, you may want to ask them about it...

    2. Since when has it smelled like weed, and does the smell become strong again sometime or consistent/fading? Did it smell like weed since you got it or is it recent? Skunk spray smells kinda like weed, and that stuff doesn't wash out; your car may have gotten sprayed.

Go to the shop/store and buy some bi carbonated soda and sprinkle it all over the carpets and seats if they are fabric. Leave it over night and next day. Use the vacuum cleaner . This will get rid of the smell.

Source(s): My wife had a carton of milk in the boot/trunk. It was leaking. She tried to clean it up. After a few days the smell was awful. So I used bi carbonated soda and it sorted it.

Hi so this is a fungus growing within it. fungus like nothing better than a warm dark place to cultivate. what could be so ideal but an old car shell. as you say the car is 14 years old. so hardly surprising it now has plant life.

Maybe you have a younger sibling who needs a place to smoke weed.
