2004 Ford Freestar Horn (at steering wheel) & Cruise Control not working.?
I have a 2004 Ford Freestar where the horn is not working from the steering wheel and the cruise control is not working. The horn works with the FOB.
I had 3 issues occured all at one. The turn signal canceler, horn, and cruise control quit working all at once. I replaced the multi-function switch which fixed the turn signal canceler (broken spring at the tab) but the other two issues remain.
I visually checked all the fuses on the interior panel and everything looks good. I visually checked the clock spring connections under the steering wheel and they look like they are both look like they are making good contact (I didn't yank on them as the battery was connected when I checked).
What might it be? Could my replacement multi-function switch be bad or is it probably something else?

You willl need to replace the clock spring which is basically a spinning contact that contacts all the switches and power from the steering column to the steering wheel and vice versa. Check with a body shop or general repair place as they will be cheaper than the dealer
