Can someone help me figure out weird sensation I had after leaving the gym?

I was driving home after a workout when I noticed something very wrong with me. I was getting a little light headed, and I stared getting pins and needles first in my head, then it moved down toward my torso and abs. After a couple minutes, it started to intensify into my arms and legs, so I quickly pulled over and started walking around. My whole body could barely function, and my hands had a death grip on my keys and I could not open them. After a few minutes, the symptoms subsided slightly, and I went to my doctors. I told him I had used a pre-workout supplement that day, which contains a lot of caffeine, and he came to the conclusion that it was that. But I always use that pre-workout, and never had I had a bad experience with caffeine. That day I was working out legs, doing squats and lunges. I noticed that when I would do lunges (in squat position with the bar on my back) I would get a small pain under my tail bone, and when I would rack the bar, my arms would be intensly tingling. So my question is, could it be the pre-workout that caused the stiffness and pins and needles, or could it have been something to do with the squatting and lunges? I highly doubt that it was the pre-workout since I use it all the time, thanks

Seems like your form might be a tad off? Watch videos or do lower weights when doing them. Practice

How many scoops was the supplement? I know that when a full scoop of protein powder i just feel blah so i have to cut it to half scoop or something like that. You probably had too much. Is it a new product you tested?

Did you not have anything to eat that day?

    Not enough water?

Did you feel odd before going to the gym and just pushed through?

Not enough rest time between sets?

why on earth would you ever use a caffeine supplement?- especially before working out? you could give yourself a HEART ATTACK - your heart rate would be in dangerous levels - how stupid can you be?
