Should I go to Hawaii?

So I'm a senior in high school and my class is taking a trip to Hawaii this April. I was supposed to sign up months ago, but they were originally going to Paris, which was something I wasn't overly interested in. But now that the destination has changed, some people have dropped out and there's room for more people on the trip...so it's been something I'm considering.

The things that are making me reluctant to go is the people. I don't care for the majority of the people going. I mean I have some friends that will be there, but I'm not sure if they'll be enough. I'll also be getting back from a vacation in the Caribbean a week before...so I don't know if it's worth the money to take a second vacation to Hawaii.

I guess my question is,would it be a waste of my parent's $2,800 to go on this trip?

If you weren't going to the Caribbean then I'd say for sure go. But since you will just be getting back from that, Hawaii won't be that much of treat for you-- and if not many friends are going you hang with, might not be fun much of the time. Save your parents' money, I'd say.

NO! "It won't be a waste of money!" If you don't have a GREAT time in/on Hawaii the problem would be you. Break up in smaller groups so you don't have to be with them so much. Don't forget to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, first Thursday of the month they have night snorkeling with spot lights! Maui, make it Molokini Island for snorkeling! How long is the trip? I could last 2-3 months in Hawaii with $2K in my pocket. Camping is a cheap and free way to go. But, I'm guessing you'll be in a hotel or vacation rental. Enjoy and put this in the Honolulu section, thew people there can give you more ideas! Don't forget a Luau! And, climb the "Stairway To Heaven!"
