I make stuff up all the time online, and others agree with itL?

The sense that others are so easily influenced, does this make you weary of the information of the internet in and of itself? I once thought of the ancient peoples doing things erroneously to mess with future generations... 1000 years from now, they will be so confused.

Nearly, or virtually, everyone is connected via the internet. So, theoretically you can get about 6 to 7 BILLION opinions off the net. It is not a "factual" superhighway. It is an information superhighway. Some factual, some not so much.

You will still need to be able to utilize critical thinking skills to know which is which.

I understand the impact the internet has on people's minds so I dint get hung up about it the way you are. Almost anything I say in here people will agree. That is not "changing minds" that is confusing people pleasers for converts.

I don't think you should blame the internet. There are many examples in the news at the moment where the weak willed allow themselves to be mislead by those with their own selfish interests to the fore. Thats one reason we have a prospering legal profession, and police.
