I suspect you're thinking of Some Like It Hot, though that's hardly the plot. He (Jack Lemmon) was masquerading as a woman to escape gangsters. In the final scene, a rich old man (Joe E. Brown) who had been courting him as a woman proposes. Lemmon tells him he's a man and Brown says "Nobody's perfect." Whether they actually marry is not shown.
