Is it normal for one neck artery to be weaker than the other?

My left neck artery feels weaker and is harder to find than the right. I mentioned this to my gp a few weeks ago and he had a look at my neck and listened to it and he thought that nothing was wrong. So now im wondering if this a normal or common occurence and does it have any implications. Thanks

Generally it isn't an issue. The arteries branch out and are different sizes as they get further from the heart. For just feeling pulse one artery will feel like it is pulsing harder than the next. As long as blood pressure is roughly the same on both sides it is all good.
