My family didn't call me on Thanksgiving! What should I do?

I have a terminal illness and am now housebound. I've lost down to 84 pounds and am too weak to drive. My dad lives several hours away but he always calls me on holidays. My two brothers are hit and miss so that's par for the course but my father didn't call and hasn't called. I'm confused and I know I could call but I'm wondering what I'll confront. Advice?

Update:

Thanks for all the answers. I should have also said that my entire family is pretty large and there's a system we have so that no one goes without getting information so if something had been wrong I would've known. My mistake not saying that. That was the reason I was so confused. Anyway, I called and apologized for not calling and he said it was because I was so sick he didn't want to bother me but I'm still thinking something else is going on but I guess I just have to accept that.

Nobody is perfect, we all drop the ball once and a while. It could have been anything; perhaps holiday stress making him forget, or just an extenuating circumstances. He still loves you very much, I guarantee it. My advise is to call him today, not to confront him but instead to just talk to your father. Start the conversation with you saying "I'm sorry I forgot to call yesterday", this will alleviate the guilt he may feel for not calling you. Every relationship we have in this world is a two way street, we must both make that effort to keep contact with eachother.

If you'd like to talk to your father because it's thanksgiving you should give him a call. Don't think so much about what you might find on the other line. If it ends up being a bad call well you can always end it quickly. And if you don't call you probably will regret it so it's better to have given it a shot, don't you think?

He could have a legitimate reason. Don't be afraid to call him and find out why. It may be bad news, but at least you'll have an answer.

Ever considered that HE may have a problem large enough to stop him calling. How about showing some tolerance and YOU pick the phone up to make sure HE is ok - HUH!
