Does anybody else find it inconceivably pathetic and immature that Turkey shot down that Russian plane?
I mean it´s not like there was even any tension between those two countries.
Is this what militars do ? Just sit around waiting for somebody to fly through "their sky" and shoot ?
It´s like you standing on at the gate of your house with a knife and a passerby steps on your side walk for 17 seconds so you just go over there and stab him to death.
It disgusts me to belong to the same species of such people.

There wasn't any tension between them? Seriously? I guess you aren't familiar with the controversy over the view that the Russians have been bombing groups supported by Turkey, that consist primarily of ethnic Turks, rather than actually going after ISIS.
Yes, that is what military's do. Protect their borders. That's why militaries exist. Russia has shot down a number of aircraft over the years that have veered into their airspace. Including a civilian airliner that had accidentally drifted off course, and had a United States Congressman aboard it....... 269 innocent civilians were killed, including 22 children. Russia claimed it was a spy plane. It was a Korean Air Boeing 747.
This plane Turkey shot down was an armed warplane. Your analogy might not be as ridiculous if this "passerby" in your scenario was carrying an assault rifle while giving you the finger as they intentionally cut through your yard.

The simple fact is that Turkey have upped the anti. Russia have now sent their state of the art S-400 surface to air missiles to Syria and they are sending fighter escorts on bombing missions with orders to fire on anything that poses a threat.
I find it quite amusing that people are talking about Russia violating Turkish airspace for 17 seconds, yet overlook the fact that the USA and coalition forces violate Syrian airspace every time they perform a bombing mission. I don't recall the Syrian government inviting them.

No, they are a sovereign country. You cannot cross borders without mutual treaties and multi-national agreements. This is how the world is defined. It's what makes Turkey, Turkey and not another country,
Unless you support New World Order, then you should really start respecting international borders. It's exactly what wars are fought over. Go to school.

You give them an inch and they'll eventually take a mile.
Sometimes a backhand is needed to keep the other guy in check.

Considering it was only over the border for 17 ****ing seconds, yeah.
The PM of Turkey is being a retard about it as well, claiming he gave the order to shoot it down, antagonizing Putin.
Russia is a key ally in the modern world. We don't want them as a ****ing enemy, Turkey.

No; Turkey had the guts to shoot a Communist fighter out of the sky then I salute them.
