Go to a garage and get it fixed. Used cars as sold 'as is', and carry no express warranties, and anyone buying an eight year old has got to know that it will have things on it that will need repairs.
Once you sign a loan agreement on a car, new or used, failure to pay will get the car repoed, and you will be hit with massive fees and costs arising from that, on top of ruining your credit.

you financed an 8 year old car? that was your first mistake. Sounds like a transmission problem. That could cause stall out as well as not moving when in gear. Take it to a mechanic.
