Minimalism at boarding school?

I want to declutter my life, but I don't see how i can declutter my bedroom. I can't use typical minimalist ideas, because my bedroom has to also be my office, dining room, living room, among other things. Any ideas?

More than anyone, a multitasker can use typical minimalist ideas. The primary thing is to get storage boxes or organizers to hold each specific task items. This keeps them close at hand but not spread all over the place. Like a magazine organizer that lets you put mags or bound notebooks in it and hold them up like a book for using in a wall hung bookshelf. Or shoebox size plastic lidded boxes for storing all your pens, pencils, markers, and stapler, scissors etc. I like a pencil cup on the desk top for most used pens and all the others in the plastic box.

I use a single bed for sleeping but also use it as a sofa for guests. I just add a few big pillows along the wall side for a sofa look and put them on the floor when I'm sleeping. I have a shoe rack in the bottom of my closet so there are no shoes on the floor of the room. Then I got a rigid clothes hamper for dirty clothes that doubles as a small table since it's sturdy and has a hard flat top. Try to think of everything as having two uses and keeping random clothing, shoes etc. off the floor at all times. You'll be shocked at the dif that makes.

The plastic bags you bring your groceries home from the store in can be hung on door knobs to put washrags and other items in and even some trash.

Dollar stores have plastic containers and other items that can be used for putting things in. Dollar dish pans can be used to put notebooks, paper, books and other items in.

Boxes from grocery stores can be used to slide under the bed or the plastic pans from the dollar store.
