Degree to get into renewable energy?

I can't find many undergraduate degrees for it and they all seem to be just a geography degree with a bit of renewable energy. All of the postgraduate degrees ask for a degree in engineering. I dont really want to do a engineering degree. Can I not go into renewable energy with a biology or biochemistry degree or something like that?

Renewable Energy and specific subject engineering degrees are usually offered as Masters degrees ONLY. Pennsylvania State University has a program. I think they call it RES (Renewable Energy and Sustainability).

For Bachelor’s degrees related to renewable energies, you have a few options. There is Energy Engineering, also at Penn State university), where they let you focus on solar, wind, or geothermal.

You can also get a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering to learn about oil and gas, or electrical engineering to learn about power generation, distribution, and power grids. Then you can go on to Master in a renewable energy related master’s degree.

No, you need to understand the physics behind what you're doing. If you don't want to do engineering specifically, do physics instead, but you'll need that physics and math at the very least.
