Why did Panetta lie to Congress about Benghazi? We now have the email proving State simply didn't give the green light.?

I want those answers too. I'm sick of politicians and other leaders thinking they can get away with this sort of BS.

just grandma... Actually, it just came out yesterday that an email was sent to State requesting a green light to deploy troops to help Benghazi. At 7:19 PM... “I just tried you on the phone but you were all in with S [apparent reference to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton],” reads the email, from Panetta’s chief of staff Jeremy Bash. “After consulting with General Dempsey, General Ham and the Joint Staff, we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi. They are spinning up as we speak.”

Bash’s email, which bore the subject line “Libya,” was sent to Clinton’s then-deputy chief of staff Jacob Sullivan, Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman, and Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Thomas Nides.

Yet, somehow, the green light never came... and Leon Panetta ended up testifying to Congress that there wasn't time to muster a rescue operation.

State doesn't order attacks by the military. They aren't in the chain of command.

There was a charge, made years ago, that's since been disproved by people who were actually involved, that the story the guy told wasn't true. There was no stand down order. Fox is replaying this as something new, when it's not.

Every one involved did all they could to protect Hillary Clinton, the whole thing stinks.
