Okay I get an email saying I have an answer to my question but I don't see any answer.?

More than likely, the answer you got was the fake Yahoo support number spam. And the reason you don't see that answer, is because someone reported it.

Me too-- and haven't even asked a question in 6 months so that was weird.

Either the answerer deleted their own answer, or it was a violation that got reported and removed

More then likely deleted by a more then trusted member of the

gustapo.

The person who posted it, may have very quickly decided to delete it. You can delete your answers up until a Best Answer is chosen. Or someone else reported it and has sufficient "trusted member" status to have gotten it deleted.

Either the person who answered had second thoughts and removed the answer, or it was reported as a violation before you saw it.
