Why be close to people, when they hurt you the most?

    Because hurting you is not the ONLY thing they do. In fact not ALL people hurt one.

    We're social critters. You can't just wish that fact away.

    If you wanted advice, then you'd need to explain things. For instance, some times people are dumb and gullible, and put themselves into situations that are going to hurt them, that they could avoid.

    or sometimes stuff happens.

    But it's insane to pretend that ALL people do is hurt others. most of the time, we're helping others, enjoying each other's company, and other non-hurt things.
