Why can t I use Draino in a toilet?

I went to the store to buy Draino and there were no less than 5 different varieties, but each one said "Do not use in toilets".

Is this because the Draino is really harmful to the toilet system, or is it because the Draino manufacturer doesn t want to be liable for damage if the toilet overflows and the Draino gets on the floor?

Drano will not reach a clog from the toilet by the way the toilet is designed and how water flushes, not to mention you would need to use a lot of Drano not to have it diluted beyond efficiency. To get Drano to move through the toilet and drain, it requires flushing, and if a clog is preventing it from flushing properly, not only will the Drano not get to the clog, but you have the danger of the caustic chemical getting all over everything. Drano works on hair and soap scum clogs, not on fecal and toilet paper clogs.

Drano is of no use whatsoever in a toilet. Way too much water that will dilute the Drano to the point it is useless.

I've been told it can damage the porcelain and crack the toilet.
