What's this black & white movie from the 1990s called?

There was a black and white film about a guy (that looked like Patrick Warburton) trying to create a film about a trucker. He was a very meticulous filmmaker when it came to shooting and editing. Turns out that the film was too short to be made into a feature film, so the production company wanted him to trim it even more to air on TV.

Other details I can remember:

-He was not a good guy. I believe he either kills or rapes the female lead.

-He didn't have a budget for a soundtrack, so he hires a blues guitarist to watch the film and play along with it.

-To get extras to react to a car crash scene with disgust & intrigue, he films extras watching a stripper that he brought on set.

    Using all the keywords that you provided, I did a web search and this is the only black and white, short, independent film that popped up:

    Larger Than Life (1998) -- according to IMDb, there is a truck driver in this movie.

    I doubt that this is the correct title so what else can you say about the plot of the trucker/truck driver?
