    Technically, in the book of:

Isaiah 7V14:"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and he shall call his name Immanuel."

Isaiah 9 V6:"For unto us a CHILD is BORN, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

The Gift-Child in this passage is the same divine Child as Immanuel..

As for the Gospel writers. OOPS wrote the gospel in after read your instructions--decided to leave it in--apologies.

I would say the Holy Spirit announces to Mary that she would give birth to the Christ child--should be touted as the first official mention of this---

Matthew 1V23:"BEHOLD, a VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND SHALL BRING FORTH A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL, which being interpreted is. God with us."

V25:"And knew her not till she had brought forth her first-born son: and he called his name JESUS.

Matt 2V1:"NOW when Jesus was born in Bethelehem of Judea in the days of Herod the King, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

V2:"Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."

    Then in Luke's Gospel.

Luke 2V10:"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

V11:"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

V12:"And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."

It was inspired by holy spirit.

But both accounts seems, they did their own secular research.

By records and first hand witnesses

    Luke 1:

1 Seeing that many have undertaken to compile an account of the facts that are given full credence* among us,+ 2 just as these were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses+ and attendants of the message,+ 3 I resolved also, because I have traced all things from the start with accuracy, to write them to you in logical order, most excellent The·oph′i·lus,+ 4 so that you may know fully the certainty of the things that you have been taught orally.

The story of Jesus' birth is found in Luke 2..so wouldn't it be Luke? . Is that what you meant?

The Book of Mark was the first one written and the others borrow heavily (although not accurately) from it. The inconsistencies are abundant.

Constantine, but not directly, he hired some Greek guys to do the actual writing.
