Why stop sinning?
If jesus died for my sins why can't I get my money's worth?
get my money...
For that matter, if not believing and not loving jesus is a sin, why does his death not cover that?
Really, what does repent mean?

Several reasons. Number five is the most important one if you don't want to do that much reading.
First and Second, because that's sadistic and you didn't spend any money. He spent suffering and blood. Relishing in another person's suffering is not considered something a "good person" would do. Such a trait is often associated with a sociopath.
Third, it makes a mockery of the whole idea of the atonement. He gave us a second chance. By continuing in your sins you are essentially saying that that second chance is completely meaningless to you and a life of sin is your preference.
Fourth, you never know when you will die. Repentance has to be done while we are yet alive. If you had a chance to repent in this life, chose not to, and then died before you could change that, then the Atonement would have no effect on you and you would be well deserving of your punishment (whatever that may be).
Fifth, you are misunderstanding the entire idea of the Atonement. To ACTUALLY get "your money's worth", you would need to actually use and apply the Atonement. The Atonement is not just about forgiveness from sins, but it is a way for us to overcome all of the shortcomings of mortality. We all have flaws and weaknesses. By trusting in God and applying the Atonement in our lives, we can work towards overcoming those things. The obvious application is to overcome sins and make it so they do not easily beset us anymore, but it can also be used for improving ourselves. The goal is to become more like Christ, who was perfect. We can work towards perfecting ourselves through the power of the Atonement.
Overcoming our sins and weaknesses takes a good deal of time. So, the longer we spend actually applying the Atonement in our own lives, the more effect it can have on us and the better off we will be. Even if you managed to live a long life and repented at the very end of it, you would still be left with the consequences of your actions. Rather than spending that life doing good and improving yourself, taking yourself to a higher level, if you will. You will have spent it on selfish pursuits and be right at the place where you would have been if you changed twenty years earlier. And remember, once your dead, you can no longer do any work. So sure, you may be able to be forgiven of your sins, but you will still have missed out on the wealth of other opportunities and will be in a much lower state than if you had just applied the Atonement from the beginning. Besides, in the grand scheme of things, and when objectively compared, sin really is meaningless and empty. Living a life of righteousness unlocks far greater joy and happiness than you could ever even fathom when living in sin. There is no comparison.
Edit: What does "repent" mean? First, we acknowledge that we have done something wrong. We confess it and forsake it (i.e. admit to the wrongdoing and then stop doing that). Make amends (i.e. return what you stole, fess up to the lie and apologize, etc.) Then we ask for forgiveness and don't do the bad thing again. Naturally, with more serious sins there will be more to this process and it will be more difficult, but this is the bare minimum of what the process entails. Should give you a fair idea of what it means to "repent".

It's a heretical Protestant belief. What Jesus died for was original sin because of the fist sin all were made sinners in relation to mankind having lost the heavenly gift of the Holy Spirit and not being in God's Grace. Now both the righteous and unrighteous were condemned before the advent of Jesus however the punishment is proportional to the sin for instance the just that lived before the advent of Jesus because of original sin couldn't receive their beatific vision of God in the Kingdom of Heaven. Rather there was Paradise (Bosom of Abraham) even though these saints were in a state of happiness it was imperfect being they longed to be with God in the Kingdom of Heaven the Western Church had called this Limbo of the Fathers. So before the advent of Jesus there was no Particular Judgement and the Kingdom of Heaven remained closed to mankind. Now Catholics teach this orthodoxy belief in which we literally state it would be impossible for anyone to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven without the heavenly gift of the Holy Spirit which is Jesus within them.
Now the reason why Jesus stated to always be prepared for that time to come in which death is the end of this world for people. Think about this what happens if you die suddenly in a car accident you didn't have the time to repent for your sins. Also the definition of true repentance is reconciling with those you trespassed against even at the hour of death if hadn't done this well if they are with mortal sin they will not be forgiven in this age or the age to come. There is no excuse a person has which can justify why they hadn't reconciled themselves with those they trespassed against in fact they had their entire life.
Also there is no guarantee at the hour of death there will be a Priest which could administer the Sacrament of Baptism or the Sacrament of Reconciliation before the person dies if they consent to repent for their sins. Now any baptized Christian can also administer the Sacrament of Baptism under extraordinary circumstances but here's the thing it can only be done once and with consent of the person.

-It is true all of us have inherited imperfection from our first parents Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12 and 6:23).
-For this reason, Jesus came to earth and lived a perfect life without sin (1 Peter 2:22, Hebrews 5:9; 7:26; 1 John 3:5). This was to provide a ransom sacrifice in order to redeem us from sin (Matthew 28:20, John 3:16; Romans 5:8-10, 18; 1 Timothy 2:5,6; 1 John 1:7; 4:9).
-However, does this entail us to just freely commit as many sins as we wish and still hope to benefit from the ransom?
-1 John 1:5, 6 says that God is light and there is no darkness at all in union with him. If we make the statement: “We are having a sharing with him,” and yet we go on walking in the darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. So, we cannot be engaging in sinful practice and hope to be in union with Christ.
-1 John 3:4-9 states that everyone who practices sin is also practicing lawlessness, and that he who carries on sin originates with the Devil. Everyone remaining in union with him does not practice sin; no one that practices sin has either seen him or come to know him. It then goes on to say that he who carries on righteousness is righteous. So, it makes it clear that we need to make every effort to practice righteousness and if we live our lives in a sinful course, we will basically be identified with the devil.
-Other scriptures make it plain that we are not to engage in the habit of practicing sin, (1 Corinthians 15:34; 1 Timothy 5:20), and if we do practice sin willfully after coming to an accurate knowledge of God’s word, there will be no more ransom sacrifice left to cover our sins (Hebrews 10:26).
-Since we’re imperfect, all of us will commit sins during our life against our will. The apostle Paul had certain sinful tendencies and a struggle to control them (Romans 7:21-24). He delighted in God’s law and wanted to what was right, but still was inclined to do what was wrong. But, in verse 25, he acknowledged that Jesus’ ransom sacrifice would rescue him from this situation.
-So, we see the ransom was put into place not to turn God’s mercy into an excuse for loose conduct (Jude 4), but to cover the sins that we commit inadvertently or in a moment of weakness. However, to benefit, we must strive to carry on righteousness to the best of our ability.

1. Cuz.
2. Cuz.
3. His death covers ALL sins, even not believing. The sin that God CANNOT forgive is the one that you do not WANT TO BE forgiven. This is a matter of your FREE WILL. God respects your choice to reject Him and will not FORCE you to believe (which He COULD do!).
4.. Repent:
intransitive verb
1: to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life
2a : to feel regret or contrition
b : to change one's mind

2: to feel sorrow, regret, or contrition for
Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” (John 20:28-29)
MARANATHA! Come, Lord Jesus, COME!

Sin means "without", mostly, on this side of the world. The energies ushering "without sin" is then of course a welcome redundancy whose significance is worth reconsidering.
Classically, a sin is known to the sinner since it is os senseless service towellness ofhis center. We are all centers of the universe whose self is sinner. Clearly a way of holy reason is sinverse of that.
