What is the difference between God and an abusive husband?
Both threaten punishment that is well beyond what is deserved in response for transgressions. Both set unreasonable goals for those they claim to love. Both have doting followers/wives who make excuses for them and go to great length to convince the world that abuse is the same as love (in religion, these are called "Theologians).

Big difference.

Just my opinion. Each to their own

God is perfect - and immortal
Deu 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
1Ti 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The abusive husband is mortal and bound for hell - unless he repents
And so are you......
Eze 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die?
That means that your eternal fate is entirely up to YOU

God loves you and the absuive husband does not. God is holy and the abusive husband is a useless coward. Just divorce the abusive husband. I would.

The difference is as far as east is from west. You are not describing God, your describing your flawed mental picture of God.
