GABA receptor antagonist?

I've never experienced alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, but I've heard it's one of the worse things one can experience. Would GABA antagonist drugs help with this?

    Benzos and booze are GABA agonists take it slow cold turkey can lead to PTSD .

    Yeah. Also In my experience when I smoked weed everyday in college I never experienced alcohol withdrawl.
