Professor insults and calls the class "retarded". Is that wrong?

Update:

If your college professor, at any school or university, a two-year college or a four-year college/university calls you or the entire class "retarded", is that insulting or is it the way it is?

    No. It was probably unprofessional, but people are far too sensitive. It should only offend you if you also believe you may be retarded, or if you find retarded people offensive.

    He pretty clearly meant it to be insulting, so it is. As Hit Girl says, it is *certainly* unprofessional.
