What is 'wrong' when police have to shoot a 107 year old guy?

Monroe Isadore must have been more than any gangster that ever lived. He had a SWAT TEAM on him.

What was the rush or the importance?

Was ALL that fire power necessary?

New catch phrase is "It's easy to be the "Monday Morning Quarterback." The same thing would be done the say way?

"... gag-order was quickly issued on the case, but many details have emerged over the past two years."

Since all people that were threatened by the old man, had been evacuated, he was mostly, only a menace to himself. I'm sure a confused and frightened old man, was trying to defend himself from hostile invaders, as best he could. There was no excuse for a military type of assault, after the threat to others had been removed. Waiting for him to settle down would have been MUCH more productive. You have to wonder what form the "negotiations" were, if he replied with gunfire!!

Past experience shows that if a SWAT team is called, some one is going to get killed. Guilt or innocence is secondary.

Key words: 'Isadore shot at the SWAT officers, who returned fire and killed him only after unsuccessfully using a camera, negotiating tactics and gas.'

Regardless of the mans age, when you start shooting at cops, or anybody else, all bets are off. For all anybody knows, suicide by cop could have been the old mans plan all along. RIP Monroe.
