Why Does Satan and Demons Flee When hearing Jesus name? (read more)?

I mean its just a words, its not like Jesus will appeared all suddenly. Why do Demons and Satan tremble when hearing his names? Does it hit them with the power of light?

I was thinking couldn't Demons and Satan just ignored that name or thinking that Jesus will show up right away?

The demons begged Jesus not to be sent to the pit. Jesus has authority and power to do what He wants. In that situation, as recorded in scripture, Jesus allowed those demons to go enter into the herd of pigs instead.

God who is Jesus, may order His Angels to cart those demons off if they don't respect authority..

God may do other things as well. Jesus also said about the centurion that asked Jesus to just say the word and he would believe the servant was healed.. Jesus said that man had great faith and basically "got it" more than anyone else concerning authority. For the centurion said that he was under authority and others were under him as well. When he said to someone to do something it was done, they knew their place and performed what they were told to do.

So, Let me get this straight, when the Creator of the Universe says something you "don't tremble?"

When that same Creator, gives a Christian power to use His name and Power over those same Demons, the fallen angels / demons tremble. They know what that authority means. They must do what they are ordered. That's why they tend to hide and not make themselves known.

My Demon Atheism has been under steady attack by my sisters fundamentalist pastor for years. My atheism does not tremble or flee from the mention of the name of Jesus, the laying on of hands or commands to come out, foul demon.

    Perhaps you have been misinformed.

If you read the Bible when Jesus died he entered Hell which is their domain and took the Keys to Death and Hell. With that much power would you not flee but in the end there will be no where to go just the Lake of Fire!

They flee because of His power. Satan and his angels are judge already.

    Just wow.

Satan and demons only exist in imagination so you are concerned with the imaginary

The fact of the matter, the reason why Satan and his fallen angels tremble when hearing Jesus name is because, Jesus Christ is God, who created them, and that is why they tremble at the word of God Jesus Christ, and mankind will tremble at God word when God Jesus Christ comes back to judge the living and the dead and too destroy the heaven and the earth by fire, the second death, where the heaven and the earth shall be burned up, by the hell fires.

Satan and all his demons are currently roasting in hell night and day forever and ever.

They have no time for anything else

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

We'd like to see your reference passage though

That isn't what the Bible says. It says that the word makes him flee.
