We don't want to destroy the US - we're perfectly content to watch you do it all by yourselves. Ted Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship just before he announced his candidacy, claiming he "didn't know" that he had a Canadian citizenship. Canada didn't turn him into a bald-faced liar - the Republican party and his power-lust did that.

His Mother and him moved back to the USA when he was 4 years old so he never did much here of any good. He also has already given up his Canadian citizenship , so he's all yours.
