Anyone noticed on the first SmackDown on the USA Network that Jerry Lawler was acting heelish on commentary?

I prefer him as a heel commentator and with him being a face commentator, especially revealing that he doesn't enjoy doing the job and just does it to earn money, I felt that he should retire. I was elated to hear him be heelish on the first SmackDown on the USA Network.
