I believe it does. Chip's offense likes to utilize a QBs mobility, and I think that was a big reason in hiring Chip in the first place. Hiring Chip lets SF find a use for Kap rather than have to eat the money and cut him.

Probably. I have no clue what Kelly is going to do next after those questionable decisions last year. But having a QB in place can help in more ways than obvious at first glance. Of course the QB is an important position, but so are the others. Say they get rid of Kaepernick. Then they'll have to use a high pick to draft another QB, a pick which they could have used for a different position had they kept Kaepernick.

Yeah I heard talks one of the main reasons he got hired was because he convinced the 49ers that they already had their franchise QB in Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick got this team to a super bowl so he should never give the job back to Blaine Gabbert.

He will get rid of Kapernick along with the rest rest of his black players like he did in philly. Just like Philly he will fail SF 49ERS

Good for Kaepernich because he likes a running QB, but I expect him to be hurt by week 7.
