Why do people ship Eren and Levi in attack on titan?

Honestly I don't get it either and find it kind of weird considering Eren is like what 15 and Levi is over 30 yrs old. There must be some reason

people ship them but for the life of me I cannot see what would make anyone ship them be it in the anime or in the manga. People can ship whatever they want of course but personally I find it strange to ship someone like those two but that's probably cuz I don't get it and on a personal level the age difference creeps me out a bit.

Why do you ship something?

The reasons are many, some people ship them because of their personalities, some because of their canon dynamic, some ship them simply because they look good together.

I ship them and my reasons are similars to the ones of that post. It simply worked for me. And I'm not a fujoshi, I never decided to ship them just because I like Yaoi pairing. Actually they are only one of the few yaoi pairings I like. To me the genders never really matter, just if character A and character B works well together romantically.

The age diference doesn't really bothers me because it's a different universe. You can't compare Eren to a 15 yrs old kid of our reality, just like you can't really compare two 15 yrs old from completely different countries for their culture and education is completely different. that's why the age of consent varies from country to country, for an example the age of consent in the US is 16 while in japan is 13. That's a world where kids can enter the military at the age of 12. Besides shippers are often changing their ages in fanworks. One can ship Levi and Eren but imagine them having a sexual relationship only after Eren is older. Just like one can ship them and believe they are both asexuals and just have a romantically relationship.

I simply think Eren and Levi work together platonically and romantically. No i do not think they will become a couple in canon, just that I can see them being one. I love the mutual respect they have, the way Eren admires Levi and how kind (in his own way) Levi is to Eren as the times go (don't give me the trial crap please, read the manga before saying anything), like how he never blames Eren for when things goes wrong, how he assured eren his squad death wasn't Eren's fault. And I love how similar they are, how they both swore to kill all titans, how both crave freedom and how both wants to protect the ones closer to them.

Why shouldn't they?

People have all sorts of tastes. And they like what they like, so it can't be helped~

My personal opinions:

- Eren and Levi are attractive and male, so it's normal for some fangirls to want to see them end up together.

- People keep bringing up the dominant/submissive roles of their relationship. However, it's their relationship dynamics (Eren respects Levi, Levi cares about Eren) that might make for an interesting pairing.

- Some people are getting caught in the hype, since nowadays, everyone and their sister is shipping Ereri

Being a fujoshi/fudashi used to consist hiding BL manga under the bed, clicking away from a BL anime or game when parents walk by, and sharing the dark secret with the closest, most open-minded friends

Now? Now it's cool; it's something you yell across the room to a fellow BL fan. "NE, DID YOU READ THAT NEW ERERI DOUJINSHI?" "HAI~ I ALMOST GOT A NOSEBLEED!" "SOU, NE~"

To be honest, I don't ship Eren x Levi or vice versa. SnK just doesn't seem like a romance-y anime to me.

But I do ship MakoHaru and Shion x Nezumi, so it's not like I'm innocent to BL ships.

I do have non-fujoshi/danshi friends who ask me why I ship those characters.

My reasons are simple: they're adorable together, and they belong together.

If one person in each couple had been a girl, say Haru and Nezumi, there's no way that the pairings wouldn't have been canonized, so why shouldn't they be together just because they're both guys?

I mean, just look at the feelsy scenes they have! It's not "manly hugs between manly men" type of stuff, there's "I'm deeply gazing into your eyes while offering you a hand", "I'm always beside you, watching you" stuff in Free! and the "goodnight/goodbye" kiss and "promise" kiss in No.6.

Ah, sorry, I'm ranting too much on OT stuff, aren't I? But the point is, it doesn't matter what a person's reason for shipping two characters is, and it's fine if they don't have one other than "I like seeing them together."

It's fine if you don't ship a pairing, obviously.

And it's great that you seem to want to understand the views of others who have different ways of thinking.

But people are entitled to their own opinions and to like whatever characters and ships that they do, and they don't need to justify themselves to you; it's not like they're committing a crime.

Ah, sorry for the rant...

they're both attractive male leads, they interact a lot, and there's a bit of power play given levi's rank over eren. it's one of those ships that you kind of expect to exist just by looking at them.

Because yaoi fans.. When two males in an anime have a lot of moments together, fans will just start shipping them and stuff.

I'd read a reserve but I want silence and I watch tv set for Big Bang theory family man spongebob funny or movies on the whole throw me a good e book and I will read it I'm not old a educator or a nerd

On average I read 4 -5 books a full week. But if there is something really good on TV then I will watch it
