To keep Germany strong. She is a strong woman who is led by her conscience as opposed to what is popular. Wish we had more leaders like her.
Just because a majority of people are for, or against, something doesn't make it right. Apparently you don't want a leader - you want someone who will bend to the will of the most people.

part of her delusions of grandeur :
she fancies herself as the Great Beneficent Bestower of Sustenance and Civilization Upon the Poor and Downtrodden of the World,
And She, Christ-like, will lift them all into Civilization.
for her to see the horrific reality of what she's doing w/ this flood of 3rd world moslems would destroy her delusion,
and she couldnt tolerate the truth of being just another Euro pol.
So she destroys Europe instead.

A debt that can never be repaid. Millions of people died and they will always be sorry. Can the world forgive. Maybe not. Hitler is one of the most trending names on the net.

Call it temporary insanity. Unbelievable how a rather sensible leader can suddenly go so disastrously off the rails and stubbornly refuse to admit she made a huge mistake.
