Wouldn't a sequel to the movie Groundhog's Day just be the exact same movie?

Yes and I really do not like that movie either..!!

How about the Bill Murray groundskeeper guy from Caddy Shack trying to kill the Groundhog, like he tried to do with the gophers, to stop the Groundhogs's Day sequel? Then, when he succeeds, the whole time loop finally stops.

Of course everybody would forget they saw the movie.

It would be the Groundhog's Day Part 2......the next day.

No, in the sequel Bill Murray is killed and Andy McDowell goes back to Punxatawney and falls in love with the saxophonist from the bachelor auction scene. However it turns out that he is a skirt chasing jerk who ruins her life and career so she leaves him and dedicates her life to warning people about global warming and eventually wins a Nobel prize.

Already saw the sequel, but I won't spoil anything for you yet.
