Im sick of being second best in my ballet class! What do I do?!?

If you really love ballet, you shouldn't be focused on being the best in class, you should be focused on doing your personal best and putting your heart into your dancing.

In the ballet world its just a fact that teachers play favorites, but it sounds like this girl is your biggest competition and will push you to become a better dancer and the more you try and work hard your teacher will notice that and if you keep your work ethic up you will eventally become better than her and your teacher will see that!

It is best to focus on yourself, we should never compare ourselves to other people :) focus on getting better and don't let it bother you

There will always be someone somewhere better than you are. Everyone lives with that same truth. The only one you need to be better than is yourself

Be first.

And in this business bub second best don't cut it

make your movements bigger and listen to your dance teacher's corrections. Also work EXTREMELY hard and volunteer to go first

Youre being immature. its not a ******* contest....its ballet. get over yourself.
