I have an acre of pasture?

Hi! I would like to keep a jersey cow and a pygmy goat on 1 acre of long grass-pasture. Could it be done?

Yes, if you have a good pasture with lots of grass, then it should work. You'll probably have to supplement the cow with feed, (certainly if you plan to breed and milk her), and give hay in the winter. For the goat, you'll need goat-wire to keep it in, and you'll need a good shelter for both, depending on the climate.

Sure, but the goat won't stay in the pasture unless it wants to.

Only with supplemental feeding and manure control.
