How to pronounce a name...?
so not sure if any of you go through this but I have a foreign name. It's Janki. I was wondering how you all would pronounce it? I say it a specific way like: jay-n-kee (rhymes with hanky, but with a J sound), but indian people say it: Jahn-kee.
The problem that I have is that all my indian friends say that I pronounce it weird but I feel the most comfortable with that pronunciation as I've pronounced it that way my whole life. ugh why me
Jahn-kee as in john-kee.

I would first pronounce as as Jan-Ki and if its wrong and I'm corrected, then I would apologise.

when i first read it i thought it was janky (jay-n-kee)
your friends probably can t say it your way due to your accent.
