What size tires would look good on stock 97 ranger with black pro comp wheels?
I have a stock maroon 1997 Ford Ranger XLT, reg cab, short bed, 2wd. I am getting 15x7, 5x4.5, Be:3.75 black pro comp wheels and am just going for a stock look, no big tires. What would you recommend? 205/70/15 or 215/70/15 or 75/15 or?..

Shows 97 Rangers with 7Jx15 wheels either had 215/75R15 or 235/75R15 as stock, so either of the options you present will be shorter than stock, and maybe narrower, the 215 will be closer.

Obviously there is a bit of disagreement here. However, the experts at Tirerack suggest 235/60-15 as the most appropriate size.

235/70-15 is the correct size you need. This was the OEM size for Rangers of that year equipped with 15x7" wheels. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculato...

whatever the OEM tires are is what is required; this is not a racing vehicle
